3 easy steps to change any roller shutter tape

We tend to think that many domestic repairs can only be solved by a locksmith, a plumber or a carpenter. Paqui wrote to us this morning asking us if it was necessary to call a specialist to change the shutters in her house or if, on the contrary, she could save herself the visit by doing it herself. From the blog of La Leonesa, our specialist Miguel is going to tell us 3 very simple steps with which Paqui and any of us can do it without affecting our pockets.

1. Fastening of the tape: With the blind fully lowered, we wind the required amount of tape onto the drum. For normal windows, only 5 metres of tape is needed, while for blinds that go all the way to the floor, the tape should measure 6 metres.

2. Remove the spring from the dustpan: until it reaches its ceiling.

3. Fastening of the tape: Use the screw to do this. In this way the tape is fixed and the blind is ready for its new use.
