THE WORLD'S LARGEST CARPENTER'S TAPE MEASURE
The sculpture «The World's Largest Subway», which was located until recently in the Avenida de Los Descubrimientos, has been unveiled in Chiclana (Cádiz).
Since a few days ago we can see it in the roundabout of Venta Agustín.
It is the work of the artist Antoni Gabarre, and was donated to the Town Hall by «La Unión Ferreterías - Cadena 88».
The Avecilla family runs four establishments in the town of Cádiz, and they wanted to donate this sculpture free of charge as a result of the decision to modernise and optimise their points of sale, adapting to the new times and thus being able to meet all the needs and demands of their customers.
The mayor, José María Román, emphasised at the inauguration that, indirectly, as it is located in a neuralgic point, it also benefits the furniture factories that make up the Avenida del Mueble, which is one of the basic pillars of Chiclana's economy.
