Pendant bulbs

Do you know what these three images have in common?

As well as being three trendy restaurants in Madrid, take a look at how they use lighting to decorate.  Hanging light bulbs are a trend in cafés and restaurants that we can also adapt to our homes.

Materials

  • 3 metres of red fabric cable
  • Porcelain red cap
  • Bulb
  • Plug
  • Accessory to join the cable and the bushing
  • Dimmer (not valid for low-energy bulbs)
  • Insulating tape
  • Pliers
  • Screwdriver

 

Steps to assemble the lamp

 

  1. Cut the cable into two parts, the part that goes from the regulator to the socket and the part that goes to the plug.
  2. Protect the ends of each cable with insulating tape.
  1. Insert the fitting that will connect the cable to the bushing.
  2. Strip the cable and insert its two parts into the socket connector.
  3. Screw the sleeve onto the fitting so that it is fixed.
  4. Strip the end of the other cable and connect the two parts with the plug.
  5. Connect the two wires with the dimmer following the same procedure.
  6. Finally, screw the bulb into the socket.

 

This is the final result!
